Dun Laoghaire is a town on the Irish coast about 7 miles south of Dublin. Together with the splendid harbour and surrounding rolling hills, Dun Laoghaire is one of Irelands premier ferry ports. Welcoming many thousands of visitors to Ireland every year, it's the ideal place to begin or end your journey through Ireland. Enjoy easy access to all the visitor attractions of Dublin via the frequent commuter rail service (DART) just 25 minutes from the city centre. Dún Laoghaire is the Irish language (Gaelic) name for the town and port, pronounced phonetically as " Doon Layer-eh ", but it is more often pronounced in its English form as "Dun Leary".
